I asks this question because I wants so good arguments as possible and see if someone can argument properly although many believes this is very obviously. Because I thinks being able to explain our opinions on why we thinks so is very important. I also thinks thinking is important.

Killing humans is seen by many as being wrong because humans are supposedly the only animal that is capable of complex feelings however this is not the case as it has been studied in primates and wolves that the are capable of feeling sorrow when one of the members of the group dies (or at least something similar to sorrow). Personally I don't really see much of a problem with humans killing humans though eating them only sounds expectable if there was no other source of food. Killing "lesser minded" animals is seen as right because they aren't human and therefore "can't feel empathy" but this causes a contradiction when you bring up pigs because the are smarter than both cats and dogs yet we do not commonly eat cats or dogs but we do eat pigs. People also kill for fun e. g. hunting and bullfighting both of which are bloodsports that animal rights activists are against because of the suffering the animal goes through though some do it for income e. g. the matadors and possibly the hunters to sell the animals for a profit. Eating animals is seen as right (unless you're a vegan or vegetarian) because we are omnivorous which people understand as having to eat meat and fruit/vegetables and other foods rather than just eating fruits/vegetables and foods other than meat which is why people are happy to eat meat until they realise that it comes from an animal that was once living. The consumption of humans is viewed as wrong because you are eating your own species (hence why people don't like hamsters much). Many animals kill and eat their own kind if there is little food or if they feel that it is not safe. We don't eat our own kind because we view it as immoral though if someone was starving and there was only human flesh around to eat would it be wrong of them to do so since many of us would rather live than die. People view the killing of animals as right if it's for food because we see other animals (usually carnivores) eating the meat of other animals so we see killing and possibly eating other animals as being part of life and within the circle of it. Many animals have the fight or flee response towards predators but within their own species when fighting over territory it can end up being more of a kill or be killed response rather than the fight or flee unless they do it before the other notices them and in a way if we didn't have money then this is probably how things would play out with humans.
Killing a human is wrong because you are basically killing your own species and that is something that even many animals can't do. Think about the experiment done with monkeys where if one monkey ate food, the other monkey would get an electric shock. None of the monkeys knew each other yet they eventually stopped eating despite being hungry, only for the safety of the other one. The ones who can easily kill humans are either psychopaths or extremely poor so they take this job: a handsome about of money for every kill!
Killing animals for necessity and killing animals for fun/luxury are two different things. Humans are naturally omnivores, so there's both meat and vegetables in our diet and our teeth are set like that too. It's okay to be vegan if you want, it's actually good now because animals are feed with unhealthy stuff, and the meat is processed in an unhealthy way, and it's just all bad. Again, being vegan isn't bad. But if one vegan claims that us humans are meant to eat no meat and be herbivores, they are denying the true nature of human.
Killing an animal for necessity is fine but it has to be done in a proper way. Animals for food is obvious. Then comes protection of crops. There are many methods to keep wild animals away from ruining the crops but if they don't work, hunting is the only alternative. Street cats and dogs are fine, but again, if they get way too annoying in the neighborhood and the only way to get rid of them is too kill them, then sadly we have to do it too although we'd hate it.
On the other hand, hunting as a sport, for its expensive leather/fur, testing cosmetics etc are absolutely unnecessary and cruel. I hope testing on animals is gone for good.
If there's justification in the kill I don't see it wrong.
Example, if an officer sees a perpetrator as a high risk to a victim/setting and he/she can't be talked down, so lethal force is to be taken, I can morally understand that. Anotger example, if a family member is in great pain and suffering, and has asked to be euthanized, I can respect and understand that.
Now on the topic of killing animals, I'm no vegitarian or vegan, but I am aware of the animal welfare and environmental ethnics revolving around meat production. I'm not a crazed carnivore, and don't eat animal meat on a daily basis (though I LOVE fish and I get majority of my protien intake from it). I do believe that developed countries that have other choices of other sources of protein can be more aware of their meat consumption. But I do believe that animal protein (killed morally and sparingly, eaten in moderate quantities) is beneficial for one's diet.
Killing humans is wrong because you're taking someone's life when you have no right to do so. It's wrong for the same reason stealing is wrong, since you're basically stealing their life: it's not yours so you're wrong to make drastic decisions concerning it. Killing animals isn't wrong according to a lot of people because they aren't as advanced as humans. People are more intelligent and therefore superior, which allows us to rule over animals and make decisions about their life (according to a lot of people).
Well in theory we do. I mean no one is going to say the life of a wealthy businessman is more valuable than the life of a bunch of starving orphans. Also the law protects all humans equally.
Theoretically everyone is equal of course. In real life that is unfortunately not the case. A king for example generally has more value than others while he didn't achieve that rank himself.
Killing animals for food is nature. We just happen to have easier methods with which to do it which mean that we don't have to chase them around a field and rip them apart with our teeth. Animals kill other animals to feed and so do we. We are carnivores, we are true to our nature. Plus, if I walked into a lion's den it would likely chew on my face. It would probably not have a salad instead.
I don't agree with killing animals for sport, but that's just my view. As for killing humans, we don't eat humans. We eat animals, just as the vast majority of animal carnivores eat other animals rather than their own species. That said, humans do kill humans by way of the death penalty which still applies in many countries throughout the world.
Killing other humans is seen as detrimental to society, hence why it is a punishable offence. We maintain order in our pack, the pack being society at large. Animals also maintain order in their packs. They don't tend to kill each other for no good reason, nor do they tend to feed on each other. Cannibalism does exist in nature but it's the exception, not the rule.
Humans do place human lives above animal lives, that is a generalisation that does not apply to all but very much seems to be the majority view. That said, it's not that much different from other species that prioritise their own kind above the species that they prey upon or fight for territory. Lions don't cry over gazelles.
In the nature there is no such thing as compassion between species. There is symbiosis or cooperation but never compassion. Wolves don't survive by sharing with bears and bears don't survive by sparing their prey. They survive by accomplishing their goals and out competing competitors. The outcome of this is the each species focuses on itself and not others. And that's why it is instinctual for nearly all species to not needlessly murder their own kind.
My point is that the reason why it's considered bad to murder humans and not so bad when it comes to animals is because our morality has its roots in our deepest instincts.
Wrong in what sense? I say it's morally wrong because it's by definition immoral. (I would define a moral action as something which promotes the well-being of sentient creatures, and things that hurt the well-being of sentient creatures would be immoral.) if you're asking from a biological perspective why we view killing our fellows as wrong it's because we're social animals and need to live in a cooperative unit in order to survive. We see this with most social species (a set of rules like morality). Again going back to how I define morality it's a sliding scale. Animals that are more sentient, or cognizant it is wrong to harm, whereas other animals that are less it's "less wrong." For example owning a dog as a pet is more moral than owning a chimpanzee or a human as a pet.
I believe because our range of suffering is higher than that of an animal. Right or wrong is subjective of course, but animals can not feel depressed from rejection, think about what happens after they die, or even feel nervous when going on a first date. Human beings have a much broader range of suffering that might make our life more valuable in some people's eye. Though, I'm certain millions of people consider their dog or cat to be more valuable than a random person they hardly know. I can't say with honesty that I like a random person more than my dog.
I think most people believe that because humans are the most self-aware species on the planet. We have the capacity for higher reasoning, ideas, morals, aspirations which animals lack since they are motivated by instinct. Humans of course have those as well, but only a few let them completely rule over themselves.
Well it depends where you get morality from. I believe in God and if you live in the Western world you have Judeo Christian ethics. Like it or not the Bible has given the world morality and rules.
Morality is by God in my opinion God ordains what's right and wrong. God is above us and has the right to do so. Humans don't. People can't decipher what's right or wrong and don't have the right to. There has to be an authority above us to deem so. What man would have that authority if it was not God who gave us morality? Was it me? Was it Hitler? Was it Mao? Who gave us morality was God and the Bible!
We kill animals for eating them when someone kill an human it's not for eating it (most of the time). There's a purpose for killing animals (getting food) it's not the same when killing an human. Plus killing an human would be like a fox killing another fox. They do not do that, they kill other animals for eating them (not their own species).
Killing animals is not right that is why I am vegan. Animals share the earth with humans it's all of our world not just humans & it's not our right to take that away and murder or torture. Animals can form family bonds, feel love & feel pain just like humans
well, we need to kill animals to eat. regardless of what some vegetarian libtard says we are omnivores and meat plays a big roll in our diet. why murder is wrong is due to the fact society can not function if we are all killing each other. so there must be rules to keep order. how ever there are many times when murder is socially permitted. if it's in the defense of another or during a revolution or civil war or war itself
How? If we didn't exist, we wouldn't be aware of it. We wouldn't have feelings, thoughts, suffering or anything like that. Without us being here we had no needs for pleasure, food etc.
The only reason why it is wrong is because there is bound to be someone who cares about a person you kill. If you kill an animal that nobody gives a shit about then obviously it's not "wrong" because there isn't anyone to tell you that it's wrong.

I have never seen anyone make a consistent argument for this, but I'm not a vegan so I don't think I have the right to talk lol.
Well, we gotta eat. We don't eat humans because uh... that's morally wrong, also diseases. I think it's problematic so that's why it's not done to begin with.
Well, we can't get all of our protein from being vegans or vegetarians. We need meat. I personally can't only eat vegetables, or I'd need vitamins. Also, have you ever heard if you ate a human's brain you could die? Point is, I'd eat animals if it meant my survival. I could make an exception for humans as long as they're already dead. (I can't kill)

And another question. If God created heaven, why is killing people wrong then? If everybody killed everybody, then people would go faster to heaven and not living in this imperfect world. If Peter murdered his neighbor and heaven was real, he could send him to heaven.
I think it's because we're humans. So it's obviously wrong to kill someone of our own kind. Eating animals isn't seen as wrong because humans are omnivorous. We can eat meat, we do so.

But in some cases animals kills animals in their own species. Do animals have a moral code like us too? Just curious. And answering your question: Who knows? I'm not a mind reader and I can't speak the same language as the lion. So I can never be hundred percent sure. But I've never heard animals discussing philosophy, god or politics.
There's also the fact that killing for food and killing just for the thrill of it aren't the same thing (which is why hunters are despised by many people). I think that most of the time when animals kill others in their own species, it's to defend themselves against danger (can't be sure, I'm not an animal expert), and that is the only case where killing another human can be acceptable: legitimate defense

Are you familiar wit the food chain? Well right now we're on top we're the apex predators right now which going by the law of nature gives us the right to hunt anything below us.
God granted man dominion over animals as well to do with whatever we please use them as pets, hunt them, make clothes out of them, protect them, whatever.

It's based on instincts like getting food, protection etc. But why is it wrong if a human kill another human, but it's not wrong for a human to kill animal for food?
