Bump that won’t go down after piercing irritation bump?

I snagged my nose piercing and got an irritation bump, tbh I’m not sure if it got infected also. I had no pain at all, but the bump did have some blood. I applied warm salt water and the bump drained. Now I’m left with a bump that has no fluid in it. This is the second time this happened. As soon as the irritation bump heals it immediately comes back. I haven’t changed my jewellery since I got pierced and it’s been 3 months. Do you think that’s what’s causing it? Because other than the snag, I’ve been taking good care of it and haven’t hit or touched it otherwise.

1. The jewelry material - If it's not implant grade titanium, surgical steel, or 14k+ gold, that could be irritating your piercing. Switching to a higher quality material may help.

2. The style of jewelry - If it has flat back labret studs, those tend to cause less irritation than balls or rings. Switching to labrets could help.

3. The snugness of the jewelry - If it's a tight fit, that can cause irritation and bumps. Getting properly fitted jewelry may be needed.

4. The aftercare - While your overall aftercare seems good, switching to ONLY saline piercing aftercare spray 2 times a day could help calm the irritation. Avoid soap, ointments, etc.

5. Downsizing the jewelry - Once the initial swelling subsides (4-6 weeks), downsizing the post to the correct length may reduce movement and irritation.
