Drink lots of milk and dairy products, and avoid anything hot and spicy.
What kind of surgery and what pain meds did they give you?
Laparoscopic appendectomy, they gave me percocet and bactrim with some anti-nausea pills I haven’t needed yet
The nausea pills are for the Percocet. That pain med makes a lot of people nauseous.
Bactrim is the antibiotic. Gotta take those for the whole 7-10 days.
They should have put you on a bland diet, more liquids than solids. You don’t want to have a large or difficult BM or get constipated. Drink lots of fluids. Soups and juices and water. Avoid sodas and coffee for a week.
Sleeping in a recliner instead of a bed would be easier and less strain getting up and sitting down again.
I’m glad you made it out of surgery safely. Hope everything heals up well.
Good luck.
Try getting up occasionally and walk around
