I always do it standing up. I wipe my penis after I pee (and I'm standing up the whole time anyway) or if I shit I get up and wipe my ass.

My toilet has a washing up function (basically a spray is mounted in it) so I don't have to use much paper :)

Not if you have a handheld bidet sprayer. It cleans places you never even knew you had. And then you just need a dab of TP to dry off. I have heard of people even using hair dryers to air dry their posterior.
