Trending & News I'm so surprised at the poll results that I have to wonder what age group has answered!
To think that an overwhelming majority finds emotional pain so much worse than physical pain makes me think these are young people who have not experienced any physical pain yet in their lives. Emotional pain sucks, but most people equate that to broken hearts, which you get over in time. I know there are more severe forms of emotional pain that is linked with mental health disorders, but just by reading what so many people say here on GaG about how being hurt by cheating, or having their heart broken, hell even being rejected is the worst feeling anyone's ever felt is why I wonder about this.
Physical pain, that lingers, and can be debilitating and upsetting as it can be symptoms for many serious problems -- to me is way worse than feeling a upset for a short period of time in my life because someone broke my heart. Physical pain for some never goes away, and so much of it will just increase and worsen as you age.
Or maybe we just have a higher physical pain tolerance than you
It is honestly hard to choose as both can be pretty horrific and can go hand in hand. I picked emotional since that was some of the worst prolonged pain I have felt. My emotional state affected me physically as well especially when depression has hit me hard for -insert reason or lack of reason here-. However I have experienced sciatic pain, migraines, and other things that have caused intense pain and I don't know if that was all the time (or if it was something worse) that might actually take the cake. Generally emotional pain you can treat but sometimes with physical there is only so much you can do and it will affect you emotionally as well
Emotional. I believe that all pain is an emotional experience. It forces us to feel certain ways that we wouldn't have otherwise felt.
How many suicides are commited over physical pain versus emotional pain? I would think emotional.
I don't know, man. A lot of people have committed suicide due to persistent pain that wasn't well managed.
Physical pain makes you die , you don't have to do it 💀

i'm always feeling emotional pain, but i can do things that can distract from that and ease it
but right now i'm dealing with a really bad ear ache and it's hard for me to get through the day because it's constant pain and then severe pain, back to constant pain. i've tried everything and it's not easing it at all
In my experience, emotional. I've got a high physical pain tolerance and often enough, it doesn't stop me from doing what I need to do or having a generally good time.
But emotional pain is way harder to accomodate. My emotional "limping" is way more exhausting and taxing than any physical injury and it makes it hard to have a good time even if I have every reason to be enjoying it.
They kinda go hand in hand. Physical pain brings on emotional pain too and Emotional pain brings on physical pain.
Emotional Pain: Emotional pain can be mentally and psychologically challenging, affecting one's well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life. It may lead to conditions like depression or anxiety.
Physical Pain: Physical pain can be excruciating and debilitating, hindering one's ability to function and engage in daily activities. Chronic physical pain can also take a toll on mental health.
Physical pain almost always goes away after the cause of the pain is properly treated. But emotional pain stays with you, very difficult to get over it.
I have an extremely high tolerance for emotional pain, it’s the physical that I need to raise
I know everyone would say emotional pain for a "poetic beauty"
But if you have went through some really bad Physical pains you won't say the same
Emotional pain is far worse than physical.
I'm really sorry to hear that you are going through a tough time. But don't forget that you're strong enough to get through this and that better days are coming.
emotional pain can be controlled. physical pain can not
It depends on what it is, but usually emotional.
Physical scars heal, but emotional scars can last a lifetime.
Emotional wounds never heal, that's why it's better to reject any emotions
I just had a surgical procedure and it was pretty painful. More than having a girl dump me although it only lasted a couple of days.,
physical pain like breaking a leg?
I would go for emotional pain.
I've had physical pain that made me forget my emotional pain so I'll have to go with the former. However emotional pain can be more persistent, and just as debilitating.
Neither. Physical pain is usually temporary. And I rarely experience emotional pain because I don't tolerate f***ery. If you make my life to difficult you find yourself removed from my life pretty quickly.
Emotional pain because it lasts a lot longer and has the power to affect your mental health in a very bad way and for a very long time.
Physical pain you need a pain killer emotional just get over it already
Girls can handle AN*L with very little pain but they go crazy when they tell them they dont like to hear.
Emotional pain is way more difficult to deal with than physical pain.
