I live in Philippines in public health clinic its free blood work done "blood chem" to anyone. I went to public health center. So I handed my paper to the doctor and my lower abdomen is aching for like 2 weeks and my blood is 100/70 I told her I might have a U. T. I and I also want to get a free blood work done and she asked if I have a boyfriend or married I said no. And she said Im not qualified to get a blood work done because Im too young at age 26 and they are only giving it to much deserving people and I dont even have highblood so why would I get it? I told her my mom said if you get blood work done all the diseases will detect. And she said Im not even highblood she then asked me what are the diseases to detect in bloodchem? Its like she's asking me to say something so that I wouldn't get a free blood work done. Im not particulary sure what disease to detect so I said its" highblood or any disease I don't know too" She said its free so some people abuses it even though their look okay. Then I asked if people my age can get blood work done and she said yeah they do. if you get it its up to you so In the end she still let me get it but she look kinda irritated. She also said If I get it outside in private it cost about a thousand pesos. She doesn't sound like she wanted to really give me a free blood chem because Im "just 26 and still young" and "no highblood"Whats bad is she only checks the paper which disease to detect. The paper has sodium and pottasium written on it and beside it has box on it to check if you want to see your results but she didn't include it only some. Sodium and potassium are lack in my paper.

That is absolutely ridiculous! Is this what "free" health care like? Blood work is standard with your symptoms. In the US you would go to an ER, with insurance or without, and the very first thing they would do is draw blood.
Yes we have free health care but they only pick who are more deserving according to her like elders and people who are older cuz she said "Im young" and no symptoms of high blood pressure.
No, I think he is just being truthful. But see another doctor if you think its necessary.
Yeah, that doesn't right at all.
