I do 10000 steps a day.
I'm wanting to do some not too intense ab workout to start off with.
Can you recommend any beginner friendly ab exercises?
Thank you

1. Lay on your back and lift your feet off the ground a couple inches. Then move your feet up and down alternating. The higher you put your feet, the easier it is, so try to keep them closer to the ground. Easier with shoes off, to raise difficulty wear shoes or even ankle weights.
2. Lay on your back and flex your abs to pull your head and shoulders off the ground. Don't pull them up with neck, use abs. Try to keep the small of your back pressed into the ground while you do this. You don't have to go high, only an inch or a few inches. Hold and then drop back down.
Those are pretty easy and don't require a lot of movement even. I chose them for you because they are about focusing on form and the ab muscles rather than lots of movement. Many ab exercises have excessive movement and people do them wrong because they are focused on completing the movement rather than actually exercising their abs.
Thank you for this. I'll give it a go
:) my pleasure. There are dozens of various exercises you can quickly find heaps on youtube or elsewhere on the internet. Workout articles are a dime a dozen.
