So it's been like 5 days now after rolling my ankle really good. The swelling is probably 50-70 percent down, along with the discoloration disappearing. It's still a bit swollen around the ankle bone though, but other than that and still being a little stiff it's definitely improving. I'm still limping some, but thats more because I think it won't take much to roll it again. It is just a tad unstable still. I suppose if I was broken I wouldn't see this much of an improvement huh? I'm mainly just being real cautious it doesn't roll again.

It's getting better. Should be okay as long as I don't roll it again. Just a little stiff still.

Have you tried putting ice packs with ice cubes in it to bring the swelling Down? I still think you're not elevating it enough by lying down, put your ankle on a soft pillow and put a light weight ice pack on it a few more days. Then call me in the morning.☎️
As for you it’s time to breakout the ice packs & apply the ice packs for 15 to 20 minutes here or there. If you have compression socks that would help & if you are overweight it’s time to start shedding a few pounds. Prolong standing or prolong sitting could be your problem & drinking a lot of sugary drinks could be your problem as well.
Would help if I didn't have to get up every 2 seconds for this and that.
Somethings going on & did you sprain or break your ankle? Hopefully you are seeing a doctor.
Pretty sure it's a sprain, no I never saw a doctor. I have to get up because the dog barks, gets into this and that etc. Wants to go outside.
I'm saying if I actually sit my ass down on the couch, it feels better. I can almost walk without pain, so I'd say we're doing good.
Might be worth a trip to an urgent care facility that has an x-ray just to make sure you didn't fracture a bone.
I have fractured the bone above the ankle that runs along the side of your calf, and I thought it was a sprain. It will be your choice is to whether or not you get hardware put in your leg if a break has in fact, occurred. At minimum, a cast or air boot will help stabilize your foot, so the bone can heal if there is a fracture.
Did it stop hurting after a few days even with a fracture? I thought a fracture would always hurt. Mine has had significant improvement over the last couple of days. Keep in mind that this just happened on Monday.
It initially felt like a sprain, so I waited one day, and then had it checked out, and was very surprised that I had a fracture. I'm pretty active and wanted to make sure that it was only a sprain, but that was not the case.
I had surgery on it six days later. The swelling definitely went down quickly once I started icing it.
