One foot has been swollen for years. I’ve gotten to the doctor and an podiatrist and neither found anything, but the problem persists. what to do now?

I have a nurse friend who said it could potentially be lymphedema and to ask my doctor her opinion. I’m kind of overthinking this, is that a good move? Should I go to a different doctor or an urgent care? I guess I’m just nervous bc what it it ain’t a lymphedema and they still can’t find anything? My leg isn’t swollen, my ankle isn’t for the most part but does occasionally get swollen and more often than the other one for sure

When you press your foot does the skin bounce back right away?

Yes, I did it alone and with the other foot and they both bounced back at the same rate

Ok well I'm not a doctor but it sounds more like regular edema since the skin bounces back right away. That's pretty bad though that you're doctors did not give a proper diagnosis so you should definitely go see someone else and see what they say. It may not be anything too serious but it could also be a symptom of of an underlying condition like pre diabetes or kidney or liver disease. The main thing is that your body is telling you somethings wrong and you need to find out what's causing that fluid to build up. Don't wait on it. Make sure you get help soon.

In the meantime you should try to elevate your foot, especially when you go to sleep. That might help with the swelling.

If you have diabetes and eat a lot of sugar but you re not active or exerciseing. You get nerve damage and mostly you get swallow or needling in your leg

I am not saying you have, but rather one of the symptoms.

My friend had similar issue it was his kidneys and kinda problem in his electrolytes
You should visit doc and do more tests

I went on a NO Carb diet under the supervision of a doctor and it worked for me. It is hard at first.
