I had what looked like a fever blister , a “type” of cold sore that looked more like a blister on my upper lip towards the middle. I put alcohol on it and it went down then went away. Does alcohol work like that on fever blisters or do they tend to scab over once you do that? Or do you think it was even a cold sore/fever blister? Someone I was newly dating kissed me a week or 2 prior before it appeared.

No but I've had nurses tell me that betadine works well. I don't get them so I haven't personally tried it
Thank you for answering. I’m sorry I asked a couple questions. That’s my fault. May I ask to which you were saying no to?
No to the alcohol lol and no problem
Ow, ow, ow! No, it won't.
Thank you for answering. I’m sorry. It won’t reduce appearances. Would it cause it to flair up?
I don't know. We use alcohol as an antiseptic. It works by denaturing proteins in microbes. Our epidermis protects us from damage when it is applied externally. Applying it to a wound stings. It may help prevent infection until a scab is formed, but it won't speed healing.
It won’t reduce appearances was meant as a question. Sorry.
Ok. Thank you
No, you need antiviral medication for herpe.
So do you think since the blister went down and disappeared after a few days it wasn’t a fever blister/cold sore?
Thank you for answering
I used alcohol
