Why did muscles I didn't workout get sore again?

So on Jan 12th I did chest and triceps... it was a normal amount of DOMS. But I took a break for a 4-day weekend. Today Jan 16th I got back to lifting and did a leg day. For some reason, the muscles I worked on days ago got a little bit sore again.

I usually get past the DOMS in the same day and by day 2 I don't really feel anything sore.

I did do some drinking on the 4 day weekend, could that've postponed the healing or something and I just didn't feel it until I worked legs?
