I'm starting to watch my weight (im 156, started at 160) and I want to know if anyone has some good advice or if anyone has a story they want to share. I really want to stay motivated to keep on a good track!
+1 ySure, right here are some easy-to-understand guidelines for a healthy diet:
1. Mix it up: Eat unique kinds of fruits, veggies, lean meats, and complete grains.
2. Drink Water: Keep yourself hydrated by ingesting masses of water for the duration of the day.
3. Watch Portions: Be conscious of how many meals you put on your plate to keep from ingesting too much.
4. Eat Regularly: Try to have normal foods and do not pass them.
5. Cut Down on Processed Foods: Eat much less packaged and sugary foods. Choose herbal stuff instead.
6. Smart Snacking: Pick wholesome snacks like fruits, nuts, or yogurt when you are hungry between meals.
7. Pay Attention When Eating: Focus on your food and do not do different things while eating.
8. Cook at home: Make your foods at home when you can. It offers you extra control over what you eat.
9. Less Sugary Drinks: Drink much less sugary stuff. Go for water, tea, or infused water instead.
10. Enjoy Treats in Moderation: It's okay to have treats sometimes; simply do not overdo it.
Remember, discover a way of consuming that works for you and keeps you feeling good. If you have questions or fitness concerns, it is best to speak to a healthcare expert or a diet expert.

reduce your carbs, and eat less until the pounds start to decrease. Stay vigilant on your vitamins and minerals and try to walk more. A step counter helps.
The less fuel you put in, the more fat reserves will be burnt.
Moderation is a wonderful idea. I knew a previously fat guy who would still buy ice cream or other snacks, take 1 lick or a tiny nibble and then toss the rest.
Ultimately you have to figure out how your own body reacts through trial and error and it may take much longer to lose weight than other people. But 10 pounds is 10 pounds no matter how long it takes. Even dropping 10 pounds is better than carrying it around. Even if it takes a year.
Develop healthier habits because temporary diets only provide temporary results. You need a lifetime change.10 Reply
was fat for like 2 years in high school, was able to go from a borderline obese bmi to a normal one in 5-6 months with no help, by just eating about 1200-1600 cals a day, of mainly low calorie foods that i liked. would also only eat twice a day and never snack. if i ever got sugar cravings, i'd just sip on coca zero or stevia (0 cal sweetener) tea. if i had binge urges, i'd go take a nap or do something that i need full concentration so i wouldn't think about food. i wouldn't weigh myself everyday but once a week (because of water retention and stuff like that, plus there's not huge progress day by day, weighing yourself everyday can be discouraging) in the morning on an empty stomach in underwear after going to the bathroom (the only correct way to weigh yourself). i never worked out or anything, you dont need to do it either (it's all about calories) but working out will help you burn more calories so you'll lose more weight and you'll be less likely to be flabby. the exercises/sports that burn the most calories are cycling, running, jumping rope, HIIT exercises, swimming, intense dancing, jumping jacks

I can help :)
You actually just need a few simple new habits. If you mess up, don’t worry, consistency over perfection!!
1. Drink 16oz-32oz of water first thing in the morning - add lemon + a pinch of sea salt if you want to get fancy but really just concentrate on the water at first :)
2. Incorporate a good protein shake into your diet- ka’chava is really great- basically a multivitamin & tastes great - good for a fast breakfast!
3. Make it simple, grilled chicken, green beans, + a sweet potato. Or hamburger Patty, broccoli, + rice. ( nothing fancy just try to eat more whole, home prepared food) also, make extra so you have leftovers (lifesaver I promise) 😀
4. Work out for 20 min 3x a week- walk, stretch, lift weights, ride your bike, Pilates, what ever you like- just move :)20 Reply

• Eat in intelligent ways for the energy you need. Plan healthy meals & slowly start eating more for satiety (especially in early stages of eating window). So eat more dense, lower calorie, low glycemic load foods. Focus on ones with high quality sources of protein, healthy fats, & fiber.
• Start working out. Something is better than nothing. It will increase satiety signals.
• Don't be afraid to have fun & eat some junk foods even if you have to adjust back course afterward. Just make the ratio low in comparison to the healthy foods.
• Start weighing yourself daily & calculate an average of the numbers at the end of every week.
• Use what you've logged & calculated to help you adjust course. To cut out, add, or restructure things in a better way for you.10 ReplyDrinking enough water daily, eating the right portion and healthy food choices, cutting off sugar for 1-3 months before taking it back in here and there, and if you wanna add exercises will make the process faster. It’s consistency and a lifestyle change :)

+1 yIt's pretty simple. Eat healthy foods. Avoid sugar and carbs and exercise regularly.
But if you want a diet plan and workout routine catered to your goals, I'd be happy to make them for you. Just let me know your height and desired weight. You already provided your weight.00 Reply
+1 ySpend less time focusing on how much you eat and focus more on WHAT you eat. In addition exercise regularly and don't do the same thing everytime. Also don't make it a pattern. The best way to work out is day to day sometimes flip exercises sometimes do the same exercise. This prevents your body from getting used to the exercises which would make them progressively less effective

+1 yCut carbs and sugars.
Eat mostly protein.
Eat some fat but not too much.
Eat plenty of fiber.
Drink a good amount of water daily.
At the end of the day it’s dependent on calories in, calories out.01 Reply- +1 y
There may be something to fasting regardless of total calories. Because fat people often have an increased quantity of fat cells, starving them with prolonged fasts... may or may not reduce their quantity?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yHere's what helped me lose over 30lbs in less than 2 months:
Keto
Omad (One meal a day)
Counting my calories
I would recommend eating a high protein low carb diet. That's what has helped me so far. Cut out the sugar and cut out the carbs except for veggies.00 ReplyAvoid sugar at any cost, mean no soda, no candy..
Avoid floury food, no bread, no fast food
eat yogurt without sugar every day, it's not very good at first but after one or two months, it will become delicious, the same with sugar, after a certain time the sugar would taste awful , uses honey in exchange, and also green tea (without sugar) every day00 Reply652 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Cut out most bread, pasta, noodles, grains, cheese, white rice, potatoes, sweets, soda and diet soda, vegetable and seed based oils, fatty meat, and deep fried food. A little of that stuff here and there is ok. Olive and avocado oil is ok. Don't drink a lot of milk or eat too much dairy. Eat mostly vegetables and lean meat, fish, fruit, nuts, etc. The "paleo diet" or hunter-gatherer diet is? grains, no processed food, sugar, etc.

10 Reply348 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I can only speak for myself. I am a carbohydrate addict. Carbohydrates make me feel good then I feel bad when I don’t eat them. I now don’t eat carbohydrates and I lost 60 pounds. That is what works for me.
00 ReplyMy diet is basically don't eat breakfast and don't snack. I've never had a weight problem.

Doing so already! I have been doing good this past week with calorie counting and wow... I did NOT realize that I was eating so much before. I feel a lot better already and digestive issues are clearing up wonderfully. Though, if there are any other apps you recommend, I would love to hear them :))

I track with the loseit app. Also prioritize 7 hours sleep or more. Common knowledge but we lose the most lbs when we are sleeping
Is that in kg or pound?
