Are home raised chicken eggs safe to eat raw?

Nobody eats raw eggs anymore really except maybe I would do it. It’s the fear of salmonella but you can always cook them. I hear they’re a lot more fresher and tastier coming from your very own chicken instead of store-bought Eggs

I don’t have a problem with that like on Rocky as long as I don’t get salmonella they say it’s really risky to do that in America

my father had chickens and I got eggs from him all the time. They were good.

Depends in whether or not your hens are vaccinated against salmonella

I doubt it. The reason SOME eggs are safe to eat raw is because in some places of the world (like the UK, I believe) vaccinate their chickens. In the US we don't use certain vaccinations for chickens and thus they are prone to things like salmonella (which is also why we have to refrigerate our eggs and those in the UK don't). If you home-grow your chickens I assume they don't have the proper vaccinations and thus are not completely safe to eat raw.

Salmonella is always a risk with raw eggs but it is very small if you are doing all natural chickens.
