Here are some things you can try for the hypochondria, especially worrying about skin:
- Talk to your parents about seeing a doctor. Even if nothing is really wrong, a doctor can check you out and reassure you. Hearing it from a professional may help ease your mind.
- Do some research on actual skin conditions so you know what's normal vs what needs attention. A lot of times little spots or marks are no big deal. Knowledge can fight anxiety.
- Challenge negative thoughts when you start worrying. Try to notice when fears start and replace them with rational ideas like "it's probably nothing" or "I'll check it out if it gets worse."
- Distract yourself when worries come up. Call a friend, play a game, listen to music - anything to shift your focus. Anxiety can't survive when you ignore it.
- Consider keeping a small journal to track worries. Over time you'll see patterns of things you freaked about but were fine. Data defeats drama.
- Take deep breaths when stressed. Inhale slowly for 5 seconds, hold for 5, exhale slowly for 5. Do that a few times and it can lower anxiety fast.
- Remember anxiety lies. Our minds can trick us, so don't believe every scary thought. Challenge fears and try to stay calm. It'll get better over time, bro!
are you sure it is hypochondria? get checked and see if the doctor said so.
Seek therapy and talk it out with a professional.
