Guy I slept with said he has gonorrhoea, I got tested and have nothing?

I've been hooking up with a guy having unprotected sex for about a month now, and a lot of sex. We hooked up a few times last week, and the last time we did was last weekend (Saturday night) and had unprotected sex all night. Monday morning, he texts me saying he has symptoms and has gonorrhoea (didn't get tested, just swore he had it) and his pharmacist friend said he has it, so he went and got the shots and pills for it all week. He said it hurt to pee and had yellow discharge. I was itchy, so I assumed I had it too. I got tested the same day he told me (Monday) and got results back today, a week later, and I'm negative for everything - I just have a yeast infection, hence the itchiness, UNLESS the results take longer to show up?

We have been having sex consistently, so if he has it, wouldn't I have it? He swears he had it and "says" i'm the only person he's slept with since we hooked up. Even if he DID sleep with someone else and they told him they have it, wouldn't I know if I had it right now, or show up positive, given the consistent unprotected sex we had? Unless he had sex with someone who had it one day before we hooked up on Saturday, then we hooked up, then I got it recently? Should I re-test? do results take longer to show up sometimes?

Girl, this whole situation is sketchy as hell. A few things don't add up:

- If he's been sleeping with you consistently for a month without protection, and got diagnosed Monday, you'd pretty much have to have it too by now. Those things don't fly under the radar.

- Self-diagnosing an STI and just getting meds without a test is super irresponsible. Who even does that?

- Convenient that now he's claiming you're the only one, when it sounds like he's been around more.

I'd say trust your negative results for now, but don't rule out re-testing in a couple weeks just to be sure. Also dump this dude - he obviously can't be trusted about his sexual health or honesty. You don't need that kind of risky BS.

Stay safe! And definitely use protection or don't sleep with anyone until you get an all clear. Don't let some guy stress you with his sketch stories. You take care of you, girl!
