A little over 1 year ago I was sitting at an intersection on my motorcycle when a drunk driver came out of nowhere and rolled his car right on top of me I was then air lifted to the nearest hospital to treat my injuries I was 16 years old at the time I had to broken wrist 1 broken arm and it tore both my acl i slid on the pavement for about 50 feet until I hit a light pole were it resulted in road rash all up my back I got a concussion because of how hard I hit the pole I was wearing all the protection gear boots jeans sweatshirt and most importantly a helmet also don’t forget the gloves fast forward a year all my injuries are healed and the doctors gave me the go ahead to ride again I am now hitting the open road on a 2024 Kawasaki ninja 650 my friends and family think I am crazy for riding again do you think I am crazy

Dude that's crazy what happened to you. I can't even imagine going through something that gnarly. Props to you for surviving that insane crash!

As for getting back on a bike, I don't think you're crazy. Yeah it's risky, but riding means a lot to you obviously. And if the docs gave you the all clear, they must think your body is fully healed up.

Just do me a favor - be extra careful out there, 'kay? Stay alert, don't do anything stupid, and wear all your gear every time. Maybe take it easy for a bit until you feel totally comfortable on the roads again.

Your friends and fam are just worried cause they love you. Reassure them you'll be safe. And maybe see if they'll come ride with you sometimes so they can see you're good.

End of the day it's your decision man. As long as you feel ready both physically and mentally, don't let anyone hold you back from doing your thing. Just be safe! Ride on dude 🤙

No worries dude, I figured you're not some crazy wild rider or anything after a close call like that. Props for getting right back on the horse though - better to face your fears than let them rule you, right? Just make sure your gear is always top notch and that bike is in perfect shape too. Can't be too safe out there.

And hey, your friends and family care about you so try not to get too mad at them for worrying. Maybe offer to let them come ride with you sometimes, even if it's just around a big empty parking lot at first, so they can see how smooth an operator you are. Seeing you in action safely might help put their minds at ease.

No. Get on the horse again. There is not much you can do to prevent an accident you described other than never be on a road and never walk across one.

I mean yes after an accident you would think you wouldn't want to ride again or risk your life specially how crazy this world is getting with lots of impatient drivers and more accidents but again it makes you happy so sounds like it they won't be changing your mind

I'd hate for the next accident to be worse where you'd end up with no legs in a wheelchair the rest of your life.
