Why do women live longer than men?

You're looking at averages. Men carry most of the burden for keeping society going. As a result young men die in hard professions and drag those age averages down. When women start carrying that load and men sit at home and play on the computer and watch TV, you'll see the averages change. You plan to do a hard days work anytime soon, or are you too much of a pussy?

Less stress, men are the provider and the one making big decision they also work more to give decent life to their family and they have more health issue because of this, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc... they also don't take much care of their health / body and eat much fatter than women too many fat lead to cholesterol and this lead to heart disease and blood pressure combining this with stress it's a deadly combo.

Women have stronger genes. The xx chromosomes makes us not have as many issues. For men xy is a mutation itself which can cause more diseases/issues. Even in utero male babies are more likely to die/have diseases. I also learned recently that premature baby boys have a lesser survival rate then premature baby girls. So really men are fucked their whole life just because of their weak chromosomes

Historically, it's because some men would go to war, and die there, thus reducing the statistical average age of death. There is also some evidence that men are more susceptible to deadly diseases, due in part to having less RNA in their chromosomes... XX for women, XY for men.

Currently it's because in old fashioned ways the male works much harder and eats more unhealthy to provide for his wife and kids. This is an action that more than likely will not continue in to the future because this is no longer a life women want.

Lower levels of risk taking, coupled with far lower levels of social and instinctive need for resource gathering. This used to be counterbalanced with much higher levels of death in childbirth, but that's been very safe for quite a while now. Not  pleasant,  sure, but safe. The other side of the equation isn't nearly as balanced.

#1: On average men tend to do more risky and stupid stunts like driving super fast.

#2: Men do more dangerous jobs where fatality is possible.

#3: Men on average probably tend to drink and abuse alcohol and cigarettes more than women do.

Those 3 combinations especially #1 and #3 is why men tend to live less years than women do.

The largest contributing factor is definitely environmentally based (type of jobs, taking more risks, diet, smoke and drink more)
Biologically, its due to the differences in the avg levels of hormones seen in men and women

1/ Worse living habits, like diet or drugs
2/ More risky behavior, like sports or crime
3/ Worse coping skills, like inability to communicate or change
4/ Bad genetics, like cancers
5/ Bad evolution, like males are going extinct
