Hardly. I think it’s a scammmm. Maybe I’m wrong 🤷♀️ but so far no teeth issues. I just went at times for cleaning.. “deep cleaning.”
and I thought- why the heck are they scraping and poking my teeth? I could hear it up in my skull. Sure there’s possible plaque or whatever but you don’t need such instruments to scrape teeth that doesn’t have tar on it… I felt like they were trying to truly destroy my teeth or keep me coming back.
I read elsewhere about the whitening strips that those wear on the enamel or so. The bleach strips the natural enamel away and such. So I figured couldn’t the materials in baking soda so the same?
I stick to brushing my own teeth and I don’t do that religiously everyday either. I figure just as the water hits rocks in some creek or river. Maybe along the coast. Natural scrubbing of even a brush could wear my teeth over time.
I brush every now and then, and no one has ever complained of my breath nor does the dog sniff at me when I talk to him, and no one pays too much attention.
I even read somewhere else that our teeth should naturally look yellow! Like canines and felines a bit. So 🤷♀️ even with the British having their yellowish teeth either from hygiene practices or coffee/tea staining. Whatever the reason, I just don’t get too worried about my teeth and a little faint yellow. I keep them in light ranges, don't let anything grow on em, and try to make use of all my teeth. Even my wisdom teeth- which I’ve never had to get taken out. Had me grow in, and made sure to chew and clean back there. Things have been fine for me so far, so if it’s been working I’ll continue to believe my beliefs 😂

You’re an idiot. They’re scraping hardened plaque called tartar between your teeth. It helps prevent him inflammation and gum recession. So you don’t lose your teeth one day. You say you don’t brush your teeth sometimes. That’s so dumb. You’re young but soon you will pay the price for that. You need to mechanically brush all the plaque off everyday.
You’re young. Wait till you have an actual dental problem, then you’ll shut up and beg for us. Dental pains and issues are one of the worst issues. My patients literally say it’s like someone stabbing them in the mouth. There’s a reason why medicine and dentistry are in the same bracket.
It’s like me saying I think doctors are a scam cause I’ve never had health issues.
There will be a time in your life you need both a dentist and a doctor. Everyone will, including me.

I make sure that I go at least once a year for the checkup. I take good care of my teeth, brush them at least twice a day and more if I eat sweets, which is not really that often. I also floss them twice daily.
I don’t recall when the last time was I had to have something fixed with my teeth.12 Reply- 1 y

Facts. The Dentist can only afford their lifestyle, home, car and future if your teeth do not remain healthy or need some kind of work. The biggest issue are often caused by the acid causing bacteria and inadequate minerals in the diet. But since those minerals are primarily required due to the need to repair from acid damage, tackling the cause of that damage will mean you won't have any issues.
5g or more of xylitol exposure in the mouth will cause the bacteria that produce acid to mutate into forms that stop doing so. Waterfloss is better than manual floss, ultrasonic cleaner is just as good as the Dentist one but less damaging, oil pulling will control bacteria levels, ozonated olive oil as a toothpaste will oxygenate and adequete vitamin D3, K2, magnesium and healthy fats will take care of the minerals needed for repair.
Dentists are a scam unless you need some kind of emergency treatment from a rare occurrence.

Key is to use a flouride based toothpaste, But not brush for more than 2 minutes and Rinse it all out with water after that.
I brush once daily in morning, in evening I just gargle and rinse with water.. before sleep!.
My dentist friend suggested me to switch to a simpler toothpaste, non-flouride. It started giving me issue of bad breath and swollen Gums. So I didn't tell him and switched back to My Colgate Gel Max Fresh. It's been great to me for a decade now

Then it got infected; my upper lip blew up to three times its normal size. So then they had to go in and remove part of my gum.

Every 6 months. I enjoy the validation of being told how nice my teeth are. I also have a cute dentist, and probably an oral fixation about her putting things in my mouth… LOL!
