I’m 25 and a full time carer for my mum, my mum has cancer and other health conditions. I also help look after my younger brother, since my mums cancer diagnosis I have been having to do a lot more for the both of them which is ok. But I’m also starting to neglect looking after myself, hygiene wise I’m fine, I don’t let anything stand in the way of my showers and skincare lmao but health wise, I’m not eating proper meals, I basically lived on snacks all day today because by the time I was done cooking for my brother and my mum and then cleaning the dishes, I just couldn’t be bothered to stand out there any longer to waste time cooking for myself. I don’t really have the time to meal prep, I see my friend once a week, sometimes not even that, I have to be home by a certain time to organise the medication so I can’t stay out over night. I feel like the only time I get to fully relax is late at night when everyone is in bed and even then all I really do is a stretch routine and watch tiktok. I’m just kind of lost with myself at the moment and I don’t know how to take care of myself whilst also taking care of two people.

When you cook for your mother and your brother, make enough that you can also eat. And adding your dishes to the wash is not a big amount. Cooking enough for all of you does not add much and is better than you eating snacks. Organize the medications before going out so you don't have to hurry home to do it.
If you have relatives living close, have them help out once in a while to give you a break. If not, there are support groups, both private and government, that offer aid to people in your situation. Find the ones near you and get their help. You should be able to find them on the internet or by calling local source.

Just wanna say that you're amazing doing all of that. 🥹❤️ Maybe stock healthy but fulfilling options on the fridge and get rid of junk foods? Stock fruits, vegetables, oatmeal, cereals, chicken.. etc. I've also seen videos about "preparing meals for the week", and just re-heat them if needed.
