I find if you look for peace and not stimulation, its easier to say no to things that are fun but bad for you, such as an extra serving of food when you are already full, or an expensive drink that you know will cut into your budget and goals.

I think everyone does to some degree. If people believe they don't then they likely aren't trying to optimize their life as much as someone who knows/understands what's ideal & is actively aware that they should be limiting.
