Yes. And how I have dealt with it depends on what version of me you're talking about.

- Kid me & early teenage me?
- I worse baggy clothes to hide my fat, wore shirts in the pool, felt insecure just existing.

- Teenage me?
- Stopped caring as much due to me eventually started dieting & working out.

- Adult me?
- Now I don't care if anyone tries to shame me because I've already established who I am as a person no matter external input. Legit someone shamed me last year for being chubby but I didn't take it seriously because I was dealing with an injury & couldn't train while being tight on money & in a weird living situation, so I couldn't eat as healthily.

Now I workout & diet because it makes me feel better & look better to myself & more intimidating to other people who may think about harming me or anyone I love. I care less about the social aspect now. I just don't want people do think & subsequently treat me as a pushover.

When I do, I channel the comment to confirm any insecurity I might’ve had that was identical to it. Because facts are facts, if someone calls you fat or whatever. You likely are.

So instead of crying about it. Do something about it

I tell them it shows they are reflecting and that they are insecure ones. Call me a racial slur, bitch, fat shaming don't work as I've always been small 4' 11" & (normally) 110 lbs.😂 I'd maybe get sensitive about teasing me about medical conditions or something, but I don't allow weakness to show when I'm feeling crappy or in pain (which unfortunately is 4-7/7 days a week😆). Only way they would know is if I told them or if they were my boyfriend

Funny someone would ask this today.

I was always body shamed for being overweight growing up.

Now that I’m finally starting to get in shape, my boyfriend of 6 years tells me I’m too skinny for him to be physically attractive to him.

The body shaming in the past was ignorable, but I don’t know how to deal with this new level of body shaming.

Many times, i was shorter than other kids in my class and many brats pointed it out how i was different.  But i felt it is true, i am shorter but nothing bad about that.
