How to cure ADHD?

I think I’ve suffered ADHD my whole life even thought I never had a proper diagnosis by a doctor, I’ve always difficult in focus in class and this caused me a lot of failures in subjects at school, I’m 22, almost 23 should I went to the doctor for a diagnosis and what could I take to help me with this? ( I have the one without hyperactivity thought)
