What is up with breasts?

Question

You look at most animals that give birth to live young and the milk they produce comes from a place relatively close to where they gave birth from. Yet if your look at humans, apes, and monkeys that's not the case. Why are our milk producing organs so far from our birthing organs?

Put a human on all four and we basically share anatomy with most four legged animals. So I fail to see the point.

However to make the reply more interesting! As we began to have greater endurance and be more upright, our hips, and butts really, began to shift and twist. This allows the remarkable rotation and upright position of humans.

Unfortunately for women, it also twisted part of our insides which has made giving birth much more painful. Not to say there would be none, but its the difference of passing something through a tune with one or two bends and one twisted into a spiral shape.

Soo, because standing up and being one of the most endurance-capable animals on earth turned out a greater advantage than practical births.

They aren't that far away. Just the stomach separating the boobs and vag. Also moms need to be able to smell and kiss their babies head to get antibodies to keep them from getting sick. It also tells the body what kind of milk to make for them so I'm guess it has to do with that
