Trending & News I think all men should keep fit and put on some muscle, but as much as is naturally possible is a bit overkill.
Why do you believe that it is overkill?
Do you believe there to be any health or social benefits that would make it worthwhile? Also, if you see someone who is bigger than average, you think nothing of their physique? Even if their physique is used to help others?
That has no consequence on a man's life whatsoever.
You're saying there's no difference between a man who tries this vs a man who doesn't?
Yes, as long as you are in good physical shape actual muscle mass does not matter.
Also, do you feel that it's riskier to attempt such a thing? Or that it's not worth it in the sense that the benefits don't outweigh the negatives?
There are risk factors to anything in life. However, doing this can have negative effects on the heart and other parts of the human body as well.
True, I have heard that the pursuit isn't worth it because of it's life shortening associations. With this in mind, do you think we'd be better off as a species if we didn't glorify this specific pursuit as much as we do? Do the social benefits ever outweigh the health risks?
If by social benefits you mean a man's chances of landing a beautiful woman, it is not worth the risk; for you can accomplish that goal without being muscular. I also think it is good to focus on as long as we do not go overboard and try to look like the Scott Steiner's of the world.
Oh no mean it in a broader sense of any kind of social benefit. Especially when it comes to getting respect from other males. Yeah, women on average don't tend to care about much muscle past a certain small amount added. Maybe like past 20-50lbs. I notice they care more about proportion, leanness, certain specific muscle groups, etc. But you have a reasonable approach. I think I have a similar one but only because I cannot put on size very easily. 𤣠If I could, I might be more of an advocate since I'd actually get to experience the social benefits instead of dreaming about them.
I also have noticed that this look is good on some men but does not work for other men. It makes them look too much like a body builder who uses steroids to achieve a certain look. In the end, it is not worth risking your health for something that we lose over time with age.
Yeah I'm starting to see it that way too. I notice that I tend to prefer being lean more than I do being big. I don't have to eat as much to maintain it, objectively healthier since fat levels are lower, look better & feel lighter, & many other benefits.

Why would anyone want to deform their body?
The average person can only get but so big. So it would usually not look too abnormal. They'd be smaller than a professional bodybuilder but bigger than the average man.
No I don't think that is at all necessary!
You don't believe a man would experience great benefit from this pursuit?
No some people just born for that
You mean like some people are born with the desire? Or the ease of ability?
Do you think there would be benefit in the pursuit even if the results aren't achieved?
What about the atheist lifters 𤣠will "God" still reward them?
pov god revealing himself to a fellow athiest
u might be the first christian to not block me ngl
