Is a crown from the same place mandatory after root canal?

Hi so I recently started my dental work elsewhere because my previous dentist was being accused of being scammers and they wouldn’t bill insurance and wanted you to pay out of pocket more than with insurance so long story short I was in pain didn’t have time for a consultation at a new dentist so I got it done with my previous dentist and they put on a temporary crown almost 3 weeks ago but they wanna charge me 860$ out of pocket with insurance and I just wanna know if it’s possible for me to get a crown at my new dentist instead and also they didn’t bill my insurance yet so since they have my crown ready do I owe them that 860$ in the future as well even if I don’t go back for that crown and also it’s been very little but mildly hurts on my root canal tooth is that normal like it doesn’t always hurt just hard food and stuff is that due to a temporary crown thank u ☺️ if you’ve been through something similar please lmk

Never had one done but wouldn’t see why that would be the case. Call another dentist and ask them.
