11 moHeck, I used to earn a salary doing Software Test Design work, or STD's.

11 moNo, but a sadistic idiot doctor once tested me for one. I had symptoms that could have been gonorrhea or a bladder or urinary tract infection. However, i was certain it wasn’t an STD because i hadn’t had sex in over three years and i’d only had one partner in my life. My first girlfriend and we had given our virginity to each other. My doctor didn’t believe that it was a UTI because “men never get them”. So he jabbed a cotton swab into my penis and wracked it around like i owed him money. I bled for a day and peed blood for two days after that. I learned later that’s an outmoded procedure for collecting specimen samples too.
A week later the doctor called and confirmed that i likely had a urinary tract infection. He claimed that he still wasn’t certain because he only ordered the sample tested for STIs. He didn’t apologize but told me he called in a prescription for a course of antibiotics. Which i didn’t think he could do without a positive test because antibiotics can be harmful if you take them for the wrong infection or no infection at all. So i’m pretty sure he was lying to protect his ego.
I never saw that doctor again, obviously.
And that’s why i don’t trust doctors anymore!25 Reply- 11 mo
The prick must have been a urologist a lot of them are like that

No, just a general practitioner. I was young and didn’t know enough to think to go to a specialist. Or even a free clinic. I paid that jerk to treat me that way!

Yes, i learned that much later in life.
11 moYes, and despite of being a very sexually active teen and usually no protection, then I've never caught it by the one timers or the "unknown".
The two times I've caught clamydia was while in a "committed" relationship.

You don't have to answer but I'm curious to know if it was because your partner was cheating?
494 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Herpes viruses. Even though I have to wear mask, face shield, gloves, freshly washed surgery suit to every patients since covid. I contracted this virus somewhere but it's good possible I've got it from my mother by birth already. Technically it's an STD but very common and not really dangerous if immune system of the host is healthy.

11 moNo luckily I never did, only a bacterial infection but nothing like those diseases that are really bad that sometimes you can’t even get a cure for but that’s only because I haven’t been with that many people and usually very safe
