Is it ok to believe a delusion if it doesn’t hurt anyone else?

Do you really want to risk slipping down that rabbit hole? Kids believe in father Christmas because they do not know any better. Chosijg to believe something you know is not real could really screw someone up. Especially if you are unaware and predisposed to mental illness.

Have you thought about writing? Write an article. A book if need be. Experience it that way, it's healthier.

I journal a lot. I’ve ran into people online who have said it’s possible to live with it.

Try sharing it. You might find you can release it.

There are a lot of authors who overstate their fav characters. Then when a fan base latches on it contaminates their vision and they end up switching tracks and running their dream character down.
I have seen this with three of my fav authors now.
I only bring this up as it might help you.

As long as it doesn't hurt you either, I think that's fine. Kids practice make believe all the time, and lots of people are delusional about their own level of knowledge or skill. As long as it does not cause you to act dangerously, or to ignore or support other people acting dangerously, I think it is okay to believe something false that helps you feel better.
