"How can I stop my addiction to my phone? I spend about 18 hours a day on it?

Good news is i got the solution for any addiction! Bad news is you got to work at it everyday... People in recover spend 24 hours a day trying not to do the thing there mind wants them to do the most... for you that's use your phone.

I changed the way my mind thought about the things I was addicted to. Like you look at your phone because it makes you feel good right... well from now on the only calls you are aloud to answer are work calls. Or Maybe everytime you pick it up and want to use Facebook instead use the math app under it and do math problem you hate before you open Facebook and again after you close facebook. That makes it so you have to work for the pleasure and your mind questions was it worth it to use your phone for Facebook when you have to do math problems to. Build on that make it so your minds learns to hate your phone as much as you love it... it would be difficult to get around in this world without a phone don't smash it or try to quit cold turkey it won't work. learn to find balance and understand why it's important to. Your addiction isn't as simple as just try to forget it exist. You have to learn to control it not just stop

What you have to do, is identifying what leads you to this addiction, and then finding a healthy replacement for it. For example, if it's boredom, you can replace it by communicating with a friend

You could also turn off every app notification and start deleting your most used apps that take most of your time

Throw it away. Nobody needs a phone. I only have one because my job insisted I buy one, which I refused, so they bought one for me. As soon as I leave work for the day, I shut it off until the next work day.

go outside and get some exercise in walk plus go to the gym

Yes, but I have a mental illness and I lost 10 members of my family.

I use app timers to hold my addiction, it automatically shuts the app that I spend more time on.
