Actually my phone is addicted to me. It really beg for my attention. i’m sleeping and it kept this alarm noise (who would do such thing). I was relaxingly reading a book and here it goes again ringing. I was like, why can’t it just stop asking for attention?

It doesn't make much sense to talk about a relation to a phone, or any other computer for that matter. What seems more relevant to me is usage, what we're doing with them, in practice. Forced or not.
