Would cancer lead to cancelled vacation plans?

My mom has not been diagnosed with cancer so far but she sees the doctor this week and my intuition tells me they will cancel her vacation after she comes home from the doctor. She is getting the results for her recent medical test soon.

I would believe it would completely be up to the person getting the news/information and the type location and it's progress/stages, along with the current health of said person and any cautions or recommendations from the doctor on travel.

Perhaps it would, but don't lose hope, maybe the results won't be so bad.

First off, I'm sorry to hear about your mother's diagnosis.

Whether she needs to cancel her plans depends on her general health and how advanced a stage it's at. Of course, treating cancer as early as possible is ideal but some cases do allow a few weeks for a holiday before treatment really needs to begin. Your doctor and oncologist should be able to advise far better than any of us.
