I usually try to stay out of controversial issues but I have a hard time with this one. Winter is the slow time of year for us and I tend to get comfortably lazy. With that comes all the goodies associated with the holidays and yes, I will be the first to admit it, my jeans don't fit quite as well as they used to. In fact, my sister, (Yes, the evil, middle one again) sometimes goes as far as to lovingly call me "Porkahontas".
Now, while I may have a little bit of extra cushion to sit on over the long, winter months I don't just sit there and say, "My fat ass is big and beautiful just the way it is!" while face fu**ing myself with more chocolate.
I look forward to spring when I know I will be more active and fit back in my jeans again. It's all good.
What I have a hard time with is fat girls on (and off) social media who have no intention of trying to lose weight or better themselves in any way and do say "My fat ass is big and beautiful just the way it is!" while face fu**ing themselves with more chocolate and all their followers are rooting them on with fat woke acceptance bullshit. Basically watching and promoting a slow suicide live online.
It is not ok to be a fat ass cow for many reasons. It is not ok for me to accept them or myself in that way. That's the same as telling an alcoholic it's ok to be drunk all the time. No, it isn't. Go get help. (And it is sugar addiction in both cases. 1 gets drunk. 1 gets fat)
And I am not talking about cases where there are legitimate medical conditions or losing weight in an attempt to look like a model just 'cuz society says u should. I mean being at a good HEALTHY weight for your own benefit. I can accept myself and others for having a fat ass WHEN I know I am doing something to better myself about it. But to just sit there doing nothing, no. And maybe stop ordering 5 Big Macs and a diet Coke there, Porkahontas.
So, what do you think? Is fat acceptance ok?
