Is anyone else getting a fall cold?

Well, it's the time of year when I am starting to get the sniffles which usually signals the start of the winter cold/flu season where I will ceaselessly whine, fuss and complain for the long, cold, miserable, freezing, horrible, terrible, rotten, no good, stuck inside, cabin fever, waste-all-day-on-social-media, overeat, overdrink, get-a-fatass, winter months.

And since my loving pookie, my adoring friends and my devoted family all got sick of my incessant , sniveling, snotty, fussy whining long ago and will no longer shower me with the sympathy I pathetically seek and deserve , I now turn to you all, my dearest total strangers and fellow members of G@G to fill that empty void as I self-centeredly ask, Is anyone else getting a fall cold?

I mean, not that I really care if you do. I'm a narcissist, remember? This question is all about me. And anyway, at least having a cold gives me an excuse to mix up a hot toddy or three.

Not yet. Every morning I go outside in shorts and a t shirt and do yoga. People see me and say things like your gonna get sick! Or put on a jacket, aren't you cold?

Yes I'm cold, but no I'm not going to get sick.

I say, The same way you can't tell I'm cold, cold is in your mind. Yes I may be cold but when I don't show it and control my mind you can't tell I'm cold. I do the same thing with sick. I dont believe I'm sick even when I am sick; that is not me. I am not the sickness the same way I am not the cold. This sounds retarded but I very very very rarely get sick. And I do dumbshit like 30 minutes of yoga half naked, outside in 30 or 40 degree weather, every morning, watching the sunrise. Thats my secret to never getting sick or cold. Or sick with a cold. I believe you are strong minded enough to do this to... I wasn't always this way as a kid I was sick every other week. Germs aren't just in your body they can be in your mind.

If you have a cold, put mouthwash or cough syrup in your mouth, hold it in there for at least 10 minutes. It will kill all the virus. Dit keeps you sick for longer period of time. But a good water filtered water not bottled water

I work at s college and I used to get sick two or 3 weeks after the kids came back in September. I used ot see germs as big as parakeets flying around in the halls. I was sick once last winter but I have not been sick yet this year.

Not much you cna do about being sick but there are these places called gyms that may help with some of the other symptoms of winter

lol, yes, but the nearest gym to me is about 40 miles away so my winter exercise is usually getting firewood, shoveling snow and chicken shit. 🤣

I heated with wood for a few years and collecting 8 cords of wood a year was a real workout.

I don't think I've been sick since getting COVID in like 2023. I'm afraid the next time I get sick it's gonna be bad because my immune system hasn't had any training from being sick for a while
