4 moIf I ever get a mammogram, it would be my first one.
Yes, men can and do have mammograms, primarily to investigate breast lumps, pain, or nipple discharge. While not routine, they are used for diagnosing suspected breast cancer or screening high-risk men (e. g., those with BRCA mutations). The procedure is similar to a woman's, involving breast tissue compression.
Key Facts About Mammograms for Men:
Purpose: Primarily diagnostic (to check symptoms) rather than screening.
When to get one: If you feel a lump, notice skin changes, or have nipple discharge.
Effectiveness: Highly effective in detecting cancer in men, often due to lower breast tissue volume.
Who is at risk: Older men, those with a family history, or those with BRCA1/2 genetic mutations.
20 ReplyNone. The whole medical industry is more a SCAM than anything else, especially "mental" health, which is a human rights violation and a business, build on Gaslighting, RAID Method and Genocide against poor, disabled humans.
I’ve only been to a gynecologist once because of ovarian cysts, but she didn’t even want to help me. I only got the diagnosis of ovarian cysts. I suffered for months and took some painkillers I had access to. The fluid inside was absorbed by my body in about six months. This was in 2023.
In 2022, I had shingles on the left side, probably from a weakened immune system due to a bacterial tooth infection and an unhygienic dental clinic. The shingles caused a burning sensation that spread upward toward my heart area.
And since the end of 2024, I’ve mostly stayed inside because of hate crimes, I maybe stay until I die or someone makes me homeless.

Im in my 50s so how old does she have to be to be a mammogram 70s or 80s I would think. I dont know if I want to get one of those. lol
Now , I know why older guys like younger girls , they just want to get that physical and call it good lol21 Reply502 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Year ago. The squeezed my breast so hefty I had pain in one boob two weeks long, I don't do it again.
I work with X ray devices and I should do it all two years, but I won't. X-ray doses caused by modern X ray devices are even in fraction as carcinogen as that sh.. that they pump into food.

Don't laugh, I had a mammogram several years ago because I had a fatty tumor in my left Pectoral. Probably 15 years ago.

4 moI'm not sure if I had one yet. I think if I did it was 21 or 22. But the most recent gynecologist appointment he did check my breasts. Not sure if that is a mammogram. That was last year.

@Simslover92 I think you would no if you had one. It is a little uncomfortable and it is a X-ray. I would make sure that you saw somebody who was really a doctor?

Then I guess not then
4 moNever, and my weight is under control so no man boobs at the moment. Hopefully I can keep the streak alive.
My mother is a mammographer, and I like to call them boobygrams. As she describes them, were I a woman, I would be confident in asking my doctor what she'd recommended for frequency of screenings.

4 moWell since I’m not a female, I don’t do those, but it’s recommended to do it by at least by 40 years old or earlier if you have family with a history of breast cancer

It is rare, but men do have a very limited amount of breast tissue and they can develop breast cancer. www.mayoclinic.org/.../syc-20374740

@OlderAndWiser oh I knew about that, but there would be no way they could do a mammogram on me because I really don’t have anything there not even a fatty chest
