Do you (or ever had to) go to a chiropractor?

I used when I was in sports, and had one referred to by my doctor/sports-medicine practitioner. It did wonders for my posture, as my back and shoulders were always sore and out of alignment. I saw the same one for a few years. Since I stopped with the sports, I stopped going. Its now been over 15 years... and I have transitioned to massage instead.

I try for at least once a month, or every couple months at least. My shoulders and neck still get tight/bugged up. I visit a deep muscle masseuse ad I feel better almost instantly.

I went for a 16 week session to help with back muscles and spine / neck adjustments to increase my range of movement following an accident.


It wasn’t so much as recommended in the medical sense but it helped me greatly. I now keep up the exercises I was prescribed to retain the flexibility I’ve developed.

I have been to a few. The first couple I went to did virtually nothing. The last guy I went to did wonders. He straightened out a back problem that I had for 30 years. Within a few visits I could tell a big difference. He was really good, but unfortunately he retired.

You need to find a good one though. Find one that is highly recommended by people you know.

No I haven't and I too hope I never have to. My best friend had to several times though because of her back because she got into a car accident.

Yes, several times. As a Massage Therapist, I even worked for one.

I would not recommend chiropractic treatment to anyone. The manipulations that chiropractors do sometimes provide temporary relief but never cures a problem. If you are in an accident, a chiropractor will tell you that you need a series of treatments and they will continue to see you until your insurance is exhausted. At that point, you probably have not improved and have no insurance left to pay for visits to a real doctor.

I've visited a chiropractor, many years ago.

He worked wonders.
He was able to make my wallet get a little lighter every time I visited him.

I'm a runner. I've been to the chiropractor a few times for adjustments and to improve my joint mobility. They're so helpful.

I used to go to a chiropractor years ago. After I got my back fixed 4 years ago I haven't needed to go back again.

Yeah my chiropractor did wonders for my screwed up back and spine just make sure you get a good one and not some dumb shmuck who doesn't know what he's doing
