Which one is more convenient?
Beard vs clean shaven: which is actually more convenient day to day?
Which one is more convenient?
Opinion as seen from a girl's point of view.
I am personally not in favor of a beard on a man. It looks unkempt and thus gives definitely a negative vibe.
It tells me that this person does not take care of his body hygiene since he is too lazy to take those 3 minutes every day to do an electric shave. That does not cause any razor burns. If a man cannot invest 3 minutes a day into keeping himself clean, then I prefer not to know what else lacks basic cleanliness.
I am in general totally against shaving anything on the body. That applies as well for men as for women. However, a good presentation starts with a clean shave of that face. That is the only exception I tolerate.
That totally depends on a man…
Some men pull it off, some don’t…
But I’ve never seen a handsome man who looks better with beard than shaven.
That's crazy to me haha. Every man looks better with a beard to me.
We should be friends We’ll never fight over men haha
Haha true!
Beard for sure.
Shaving sucked when I was in the military. They wanted us baby smooth for the gas masks and if you have any testosterone that means you're shaving like twice a day.
Now all I do is trim the leangth of my face as I'm cutting my hair... a 1 minute job like once a week. Plus I don't have to look like I'm trying to immitate a prepubesent boy anymore.
A well kept beard is way more work. A scraggily face nest is less work.
If your partner preferred it, would you keep a well kept beard?
I do keep a well kept beard. That is how I know. But I wouldn't do it for her. It is a thing I do for me. It would be like telling a woman to keep her hair like it was on her wedding day everyday. Too much to ask of another person. Actually having this chat now and stroking my chin hairs I think I will go have a little trimmy trim.
Haha that's fair. So you think I shouldn't ask this of him?
No I think you shouldn't ask me. What y'all do is your business. He may be open to the idea. Most aren't once they realize what it involves and just shave more regularly from what I have seen in men I have pressured to do something about scraggily face nest. I worked with a couple and Tracy and I tried everything to talk him in to anything.. She would have been happy if he just cleaned up the neck beard so she could kiss his face. After like 2 months he started shaving every couple days.
Oh wow! Well, thank you for your advice. We are not too involved yet and was kinda sad he removed his beard but didn't want to be entitled.
Ill gently let him know my preferance but respect his choice.
Ahh thank you!
What? I think you're doing something wrong, bud. You need, at most, 3 guards for whatever electric razor/trimmers you have: one for below the jawline, optionally a shorter one for above the jawline, and (if you/she prefer it) another yet shorter one for the stache/goatee area. Once or at most twice a week, comb then shave - takes 20 seconds per guard, tops. Hit with beard oil or balm after, another 30s tops. If you have a really massive beard or really dry skin, use your oil/balm every day. If you're spending more than 2-5 minutes a week on your beard, you'd better be Gandalf or else have some exotic geometry going on there that can't be defined by grad-school-level math functions.
@MARSoc13 Yeah I have naturally curly hair bruh. Without a comb and balm and sometimes hair styling wax everyday my beard will look wild. I also use a straight razor and scissors and not clippers. I know there are easier faster ways to achieve an effect that is close to the same but part of the appeal comes from the effort involved for me. My hair grows really fast and I hate when it touches my lip when I am eating or drinking so every 3 days tops I am trimming. Not everyone and every beard are the same bud but thanks for your opinion

The problem with a beard is if you eat a pizza or something and something hits your beard once and you immediately get it off, people will still assume you've got a dirty beard.
That is unless you groom it like a well maintained lawn. But that requires breaking a personal rule I have which is no purfumes on my face. I also see beards as a potential fire hazard.
I have fairly narrow sideburns connecting to a mustache and trimmed goatee. I do it for convenience because I just have to shave my cheeks and neck. It also looks sort of aristocratic.
I use a razor on a handle and don't bother with shaving cream. I change the blades about once a week.
I trim my beard, mustache and sideburns with scissors when they need it
Shaving the entire face clean is a pain. I finally got sick of it about 20 years ago.
It's not a big deal either way.
I have a beard and a trim once a week. My work environment is pretty casual so nobody’s gonna give me any shit for coming in looking like a cave man. I generally just let it take care of it self
I don't shave every day just when I feel I need to be more presentable. Doesn't get itchy it's only annoying when it gets long enough to pick up the cream on my coffee!
I prefer not to have one but, I don't often get the chance to shave it off so, I just let it go for a month or two until it gets annoying and then I mow it down. Also, shaving is a big hassle so, I don't wanna do it any more than I have to.
Beard. I despise shaving, been bare faced a total of 8 days in my adult life for firefighting training and had to shave twice a day to keep stubble down. Hard pass
Are you including the bearded clam in that too?
Face shaved. I don't like shaved upper body. Scratchy too fast.
i shave every 3 days and I use an electric razor.
Beard. Shaving adds time to the morning routine. Hard to keep it under 15 minutes with shaving added.
I prefer to have a short beard. As a matter of fact it's time to buzz it off. A razor makes my neck look like pepperoni pizza and feel like hell
Shaven is comfortabler and more aestheically pleasing
Beard. Don't have to do shit.
I'm not a fan of facial hair.
It’s better to be clean shaven.
I shave every 2 weeks.
Guess it’s subjective
Clean shaven I feel happier as a man 🪒
Depends on the face
