Do You Get Nervous When You Have A follow-up Doctor Appointment After Having Tests Done And The Visit Is To Find Out The Results?

A couple of months ago I had a test of my heart at my quarterly doctors visit.
The doctor said that I had a "little heart attack."🤔 Little?

So I had to see a cardiologist and he ordered more extensive testing.

I had to wait for 2 months to know whether I had a heart attack or not.

No, I didn't have a heart attack, but my high blood pressure is causing me some clinical abnormalities.

But I was so nervous waiting and wondering in the waiting room. He didn't call me back for 1-1/2 hours past my appointment time, which caused me to be even more nervous.

He said that my heart is in good shape! YAY! 👍🏼

You should see more than one doctors to be sure İ guess because sometimes the thing that one fails to see can be seen or noticed bu another

Oh wow, I am sorry to hear that you had a little heart attack. That would be enough to freak me out and take the appropriate action to try to prevent another one. Even though it resulted in not being true, that time between the doctor's statement and the final result must have been an anxious one. I am glad that it ended not being one but it is definitely a wake up call and you had plenty of time to think of how to change your lifestyle to prevent a big one.

Being still (relatively) young, I am not too nervous going to any medical examination. I know that for a great number of women, going to the dreaded obgyn exams is a nightmare. Luckily for me, I don't do those exams since I am not sexually active and don't have history of cancers in my family. As long as there is no changes, I don't think I will ever see one of those doctors.

The regular visit to the dentist is probably the most feared one because who likes to have them look at your tonsils.

I get my test results before Dr even looks at them. They don't do that in the US?

Yeah, I have hypothyroidism and before I was diagnosed I though I had some kind of organ cancer. I was freaking out.

Usually not, unless it's some very painful exam, then I always ask for anaesthetic.
