I have had at least 3 minor ones and also 3 major ones that landed me in the hospital.
1.5K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I was landing a small plane at Santa Barbara airport after flying the short distance from Santa Monica airport and as I landed the plane, the nose gear collapsed and the props struck the runway. There was a parallel runway with an infield to my right and I pushed the right rudder pedal to get the plane off the runway I had just crashed on and get skitted into the infield but thank God stopped. I sat in the plane for a minute and then realized I needed to get out of the plant in case there was a fire and I turned off them after switch, opened the door, grabbed my stuff and bailed out. The airport police came along and the cop walked over to make sure I was all right. I was sitting on the ground and he helped me up. It took me to the control tower. An FAA representative came in about an hour and I spoke with him about what had happened. I called the place where I had rented the plane and they sent another plane with a guy to come pick me up and that guy insisted that I fly the plane back to Santa Monica with him. This sort of shake off the trauma. That was a very smart thing he did because had he not. I don't think I would have ever gotten back at a plane and falling it again, but I flew back with him and managed to come home a little shaky but generally okay. The next day and the day after I went flying again. The plane that I crashed in was totally ruined. So the saying is that any plane crash you walk away from is a good crash. I think it's true.

500 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I had a life flash while motorbike accident as passenger. I had good leather suit with kevlar sewn gloves and nothing happened to me with exception of few blue spots. That VFR800 fell of drivers leg and he was over long time in hospital because his bones were mush.

I have a buddy who had a racing accident with his motorbike. Complicated operations and one year rehab because the motorbike crushed his foot.

oh dear, motorcycles are the ultimate scary machine because there is no way to seat belt for safety.

355 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Ohh , I really had to think hard about this one , because absolutely nothing remotely recently
But maybe 2 in my 20s..
One was a car accident ( serious one ) but somehow walked away without a scratch , did go to hospital but really only observation , nothing wrong.
Second , New Years eve , think I was 21 , this guy king hit me and held a knife to my throat , it was incredibly frightening, hospital emergency yes , but again not really required - observation only.
I'm surprised by how many have had near death experiences and would be interested to hear detail.
I'm now actually 65 years and have been incredibly fortunate and healthier than I have ever been.12 Reply- 2 mo
How scary things are on our planet. I am now not surprised at everyone that has had these esperiences.
I’ve had a few over the years but usually didn’t require medical attention
Last one I had was my biggest one which ironically happened on the operating table at a hospital.
My heart stopped for a few seconds when they removed a tourniquet from my leg after having operated on it.
I actually saw a giant wooden gate cracked with a blinding white light coming from it
It was a weird thing, not like a dream or a hallucination
Like I was standing there myself
And without any fear, but total serenity.
But I’m still here00 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Two.
I was a passenger in a car accident that required weeks of rehab.
The other was a life-threatening medical condition where I was put into a medically induced coma for a few days.

2 moOne and it was Iatrogenicaly induced during a triple bypass. What I learned was First, A man cannot serve two masters, Second, Stop trying to be perfect because you were not created to be, and Third, Reread the Book of Genesis, No One has it right yet. That last one has challenged me for years. Then I woke up in a hospital bed with a Chaplain waiting to talk to me. Somehow I don't think they told me the whole story.
10 ReplyI witnessed a severe car crash with a car tumbling over the seperation between the highway. Had I not changed lanes a second earlier, that car would have landed on top of me. It landed on its roof in the fast lane, I was in the lane just to the right of the fast lane. I witnessed the death of a small child, passenger in that. A very traumatic experience that I will never be able to forget.

3 from suicide attempts, two of which got me on a 72 hour watches.
2 from my ex trying to kill me, with one being denied medical care because I wasn't able to leave, and the other requiring the emergency room.10 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
2 moQuite a few!! I had pneumonia 3 times, I nearly drowned in the river, I was a hit & run victim and was hit or run over by 4 other cars. I nearly crashed into a wall while driving in rain so hard I couldn't see past the windshield and, one night, after a gig in Erie, and during a 3 hour drive home at 4:00 a. m., I nearly fell asleep at the wheel and rolled the car under a semi on my left!!
00 Reply 4.9K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I have had one of them. I was pretty banged up and limped for a while but I got up the next day and went to work.

2 moCountless. It was an occupational hazard. Shot in the back once. 7.62 Warsaw Pact round. Brief stay in hospital (hours). I was wearing level IV ceramic body armor and a backpack.
10 Reply3.3K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I have had 2 major near death experiences where the doctors told my parent there was very little chance I would survive. The first was an auto accident. I was run down by a car I never saw coming. The second was some kind of virus. I shouldn't have lived.
