Why am I so forgetful?

I think you need to practice remembering things. I don't write meetings/appointments down preferring to keep the balls in the air.

There are mental tricks that are taught eg one is a bag of sugar and two is two spotlights on a stage. These tricks are taught and it does help to visualize.

When I have new meetings/appointments I spend a couple of seconds 'burning it in' - maybe visualizing a calendar.

When I was wanting to be able to play blindfold chess I made cards with board locations and visualized. To remember the cards played in three decks I arrange the played cards in suites in my mind. After some time it becomes easier to remember the cards not played yet.

It is tricks not a super good memory.

What sort of things are you forgetting? I read once that forgetting where you put the keys is normal, but forgetting what keys are for is a sign of dementia.

Happens to me too, I just blame stress at this point

Go out for a drive at night at a clear road… look at the beautiful moon/the sky…
