I don't think it's the hardest addiction to overcome, but food addiction is definitely difficult for a lot of people. It’s especially tough when food replaces a vital part of their lives and they rely on it emotionally to feel comfortable.

Heroin. Physical dependence develops quickly, and withdrawal is excruciatingly painful.

why? highly addictive, relatively cheap and available and also because even your doctor happily pushes it into you... just so they can get an extra check from pharma

Alcohol or Caffeine... Gamboling can be a pretty nasty one too.
