Dr, Berg said the reason for obesity in most cases is not laziness or gluttony but resistance to insulin that makes your body resistant to burning off fat.
Almost everybody will become very fat at some point, but at least half of these obese individuals will lose the weight and return to their original size.
When you have insulin resistance, you gain weight, which almost everybody does at some point, but then you don't burn it off the way everybody else around you is doing when they get fat, so you end up being singled out, like a tiger in a crowd of cats.
😆😆😆 be serious. The reason is simple, they are eating too much food and sitting around doing nothing all day. Very few fat people in asia fof instance. A Chinese person once told me he can always tell if a Asian person grew up in America by how fat and big boned they are and how fat their faces are compared to Asian born in asia.
One of the biggest contributors to high Healthcare costs in the United States, are people that are uninsured. There's a huge percentage of them that can get insurance, whether through state or federal resources but choose not to. As an Healthcare worker, I can insure them for a month, and get reimbursement for their stay in a hospital but I can't force them to sign up for state or federal help long term! I can only give them the information and hope they follow through. I wish I could sign them all up for help! Sometimes, freedom gets in the way.
On a side note, other things complicate Healthcare. Not that our care isn't the best in the world but politics gets in the way.
Exactly right. An obese person is 70% more likely to need health care treatment than someone of a healthy weight and that healthcare costs almost double or triple what does for a person of a healthy weight. The way insurance is supposed to work whether it be home insurance, car insurance, mortgage insurance or health insurance is that its there in case you need it, but if everyone is making claims it drives the cost of insurance up for everyone else. Thats why with all the forest fires in california it can be tough to get home insurance.
The attitude is simply ludicrous, it's called self responsibility, just disgusting..
When will they realise these people are just never going to self regulate? There are no excuses.

Probably because healthcare is made more expensive regardless. It's something you need, cannot do without, so they know they got you over a barrel. They probably figure if i'm going to be broke because of healthcare anyways i might as well be fat and happy.😆
Don't live in the USA, and you might actually live a long life without being in tens of thousands of dollars in debt due to the health system OR lack of it.
Well if you look at any country with cheap healthcare you dont see legions of unhealthy people with obesity related health problems drawing from it. Health insurance is like any form of insurance in that the more that are actively making insurance claims the more expensive it becomes.
Your bloated egos and excessive protein shakes are literally costing me money, you overpaid, soft-bellied parasites. Stop whining and start walking; your cholesterol is the real villain here, not the insurance company.

Because half of us are obese, and half of them are morbidly obese.

Don't know about that but being fat doubles or even triples the cost of most individual treatments and causes most health problems.

People rather pay than change their unhealthy lifestyle.
