Could tech neck be causing my new difficulty swallowing food?

Can tech neck cause this? I used to be able to woof down a cheeseburger in like 3 minutes, but now if I swallow too much at once it kind of goes down slowly like a partially clogged drain and its a horrible feeling

If you rest your head on your hands while seated at your desk, this could very well contribute to the flattening out of the neck and the various tubes and vessels contained therein. I urge my desk-working clients to get up and stretch every half-hour-hour or so. You can do some "chin tucks" and try to hum a low note (think of Ted Baxter in MTM shows). He'd dip his brows, tuck his chin and , and get a deep voice, opening up his neck. Aside- I recently had surgery that required general anesthesia and I had to be intubated for it- throat and voice are still all gunky after three weeks! So, many things can contribute to this symptom. Check with an ENT doc if this is a problem. And slow down your eating. :- )

Our ears are supposed to be pretty much even with our shoulders, my head tends to lean forward and it kind of puts an excessive bend in my neck. Wasn't until I saw a chiropractor a few years ago that he pointed it out, but I didn't really put two and two together at the time that was what may be what's causing the slow swallowing issue. It's literally right at the top of my throat where is gets stuck and then it's just below that where you feel it go down slowly, and of course it's just not a good feeling. 2015 was when I got a phone that you could actually use to surf the internet and that's when I started noticing the issue. Nowadays phones are just as fast as computers, so many times I go a month without pulling out the laptop.

You may have a condition such as eosinophilic esophagitis. You should see a gastroenterologist and probably have a screening endoscopy.
