My boyfriend and I have been an item for 2 years. His mouth smells really bad, sometimes he wants to go down on me but I can't allow it to happen because of bacterias in that mouth. You'll ask why I'm with him if I can't tell him about something like this, he takes everything to heart and we won't speak for quite a bit. He's a yapper and loves yapping in people's faces like everyone who has a foul mouth. I told him to use one type water solution in a passing conversation and I noticed a difference but the smell is still there.

Once I brought up a conversation about married women and girlfriends' complaining about their partners leaving skid marks on their underwear. I could see that he was beside himself, offended and uncomfortable and I haven't been the same since because it made me question everything about him. I just don't know how to bring it all up. He doesn't smell bad, he showers like your average Joe.

You might just have to accept you're a little too prissy for a guy like him. I mean how would you feel if you eventually allowed him to go down on you and he stopped pretty early and came up with a reason not to. You asked him why not. And he didn't answer but you knew he was lying. So eventually you worned it out of him that your coochie stinks.
So the next time you went to great lengths to ensure you were immaculate. And same thing. Your coochie still stank.
The reason i'm bringing this up is i've known a lot of women in my time. And some women take a long time to get this issue straightened out. But how many of them would take well to being told thier coochie stanked? Try none! Does that make them overly sensitive? Or just normal.
I don't know your boyfriend. I don't know his detal hygiene. I don't know if he eats a lot of onion and garlic. I love onions and garlic. That 💩 will wreak havoc on your breathe.
You might just have to accept you want a guy that is more mindful of this stuff like a metrosexual or maybe a gay man.
Girl, just tell him gently and privately. You can even make it a little less awkward by saying, Babe, please don't take this the wrong way, but I've noticed your breath hasn't been fresh lately. I didn't want to embarrass you, but I'd rather tell you than have you walking around unaware. Maybe you should get your teeth checked.
Don't make jokes about it or bring it up during an argument. And please don't keep suffering in silence just because he's sensitive. You're his girlfriend, not a stranger. He should be able to hear something like this from you without making you feel guilty for telling him. ❤️
I should gather the confidence and practice the right tone to tell him. Thanks ♥️
Direct is always best. No sense wasting time trying to sugar coating it. A fact is a fact. How he takes it, is not your problem. Tell him you’re informing him out of love.
@Tamera952 this way would break some people, people things differently.. first learn how to go polite on people before using other alternatives
Polite fine, but direct. Politely direct. As others have said, if this is going to ‘break’ him, then you’ve got bigger problems ahead.
OMG , imagine all the foul germs on that tounge as he tries to find the clitoris.. and I assume you kiss him? That's disgusting..
Listen , seriously oral hygiene 101 , you have to talk to him , put together a dental pack , include Listerine ( or similar ) Colgate , a new brush , you speak with a GP , speak with a dentist..
But , I'm pretty sure it's coming from far inside..
Go down on him and see if his Humm really smells also.
I have been thinking of putting a dental care present for him and encouraging him to see a dentist. He has tried to force my head to his groin area but I'm never giving him head sorry
Ohhhh that's truly disgusting Ms Asker - Sorry
Again, he’s not a mind reader. All the hints and suggestions aren’t going to resolve it. Direct is always best. Short, sweet, direct, and honest.
One type of ‘water solution’? Huh? That doesn’t sound like it’s gonna work. If you have been with him for 2 years, there’s no beating around the bush. Aside from smelling, he must be an ok guy, right?
You must confront him directly about it. No hinting, no suggesting, no Euphemisms, no sugar coating.
Preface it with ‘I need to tell you something because I care’ — Just as you detailed above, you need to convey to him, and how he takes it is his problem. You’re trying to help, and not telling him this to make him mad or upset.
But you shouldn’t have to deal with that. His oral hygiene routine needs reevaluated. Whether that means anti-septic rinse, more frequent brushing, brushing his tongue, regular flossing, etc. etc. —But you need to tell him whatever he is doing now, is not working. Tell him it’s a problem for you, because it is.
You just have to tell him. If you can't tell him this, it's not much of a relationship.

It would be better to dump that princess and get a man who knows basic hygiene
He needs to see a doctor. None of my dogs, some of whom ate shit and licked livestock wounds, ever had bad breath, and they never even brush teeth.
Update: maybe i am weird but i so loathe it when people hint at a problem. Like, you think i will get pissed if you just tell me straight? It just makes me paranoid that you don't trust me. It's bad enough when my family did it, can't imagine it in a relationship.
Just try to say it calmly. Not yelling. If you complain in a sweet but direct way it should encourage him to drool and want to fix it just to please you.
100% that is EXACTLY what I told her above.
That would be reason enough for me to leave. Why love someone who doesn't love themselves?
You are going to have bigger problems if he is that sensitive.

Hand him some Scope, Listerine or another mouthwash.
That’s a deeper issue. Not mouth Bacteria
Just tell him. I wouldn't care.
