I do as of recently, through my job. But I went without for a couple years after I got cut off from my mom's insurance, because I just couldn't afford my own and she couldn't afford to help me out either. Unfortunately, during that time I had a back injury and my appendix removed, so that really racked up some debt for me, like $35,000 in medical bills. I'm so glad I have insurance again, or I'd be screwed.

Weird, what happens if you have a query? Like you want to see your GP? Does that mean you have to pay all that debt back in instalments now?

I would assume so, yes. Though just meeting with your doctor would be a much smaller bill than a surgery and overnight stay. My bill went to collections because I didn't have a job at the time all this happened. And I didn't go to the doctor at all when I didn't have insurance, except for those emergency situations.

Just for this year. I'll be needing surgery again soon so I needed to make sure I was covered for the year. I have insurance from my university tho, so my scholarship helps cover it and I don't need to pay for it every month and can make late payments with no punishments until April lol

Yes but Andrew is autistic and is on Medicaid and Debbie and I are both on SD's Risk Pool. $1191.00 per month and each of us have a $3,000 deductible.

Yep. With Cigna at the moment, but am shopping around. Seems like you have to switch every 2 years if you don't want to be extorted.
