Is olive oil good for your skin?

Personally, I wouldn't put it on my skin. Especially not anywhere sensitive, like my face or elsewhere.

Yeah, olive oil has a reputation for being good for the skin, and it probably is better than other household products that aren't meant to be used on skin, like mayonnaise or Lysol. But it's processed in a way that is meant to be eaten and digested, not slopped on your skin and absorbed into your pores... which will probably make you break out for weeks to come, by the way.

You're better off just buying a normal, no-frills moisturizer from Walgreens for $2.99.

Yes, it's good because of its cleansing and moisturizing properties. When my skin is dry and red, I put it on my face. My dry skin healed very quickly afterwards.

Oh by the way, I just realized that my great-grandmother treated olive oil like the miracle panacea; she douses all her food with it and, like me, often puts it on her face. Needless to say, at 94, her skin was supple, clear of any unsightly discolorations and she had minimal wrinkles. honest! :)

As a greek, Olive oil is good for you inside and out. As long as it hasn't been heated first. And if you have oily skin it's best not to use it on your face, but sometimes, when I'm cooking, if I get oil on my hands I rub it on my knees and elbows. They are actually quite smooth lol so it works.

I don't think so, I haven't tried but I have a feeling oil in general isn't great for down there, it might be an irritant, unless its a lube oil lol. But ask someone else cos I'm not sure

Olive oil was often used in hot and dry countries to counteract the weather. If you live in a colder country it might take longer to sink into the skin. It also works better for certain skin types. If you have pale skin it might not work as well as it would on darker skin. Stay away from it if you have oily skin. Try it on a small patch on your arm or leg for a few weeks, and then you can try a patch on your face. Don't pour it all on your face from the get go, just in case it causes pimples, an allergic reaction, etc.

I'm Italian, actually grew up in Italy ha ha (not a Snooki wannabe). We use it for everything there. Including our skin. Definitely get the purest form you can find. I recommend mixing it with either a bit of sugar or salt and massaging that on your face to exfoliate. Make sure to wash well before and after and don't scrub the crap outta your skin! Just a little.

Yes it is really good for your skin, the NATURAL UNPROCESSED Olive Oil is anyway. Like Onemoreplease has said the Olive Oil you see in stores is processed to be digested more so than to wear on the out regions of your body. Try looking up the pure Virgin Olive Oil either online or in your local nutrition shop.

Yea its so good for your skin I always mix two egg whites, some olive oil and a bit of lemon juice and use it as a skin mask and rince with milk it really hydrates and tones your skin. You'll have a perfect even skin tone in no time if you do it regularly :3

The eggs help the oil to stick on your skin long enough for the oils to get in the skin it also works to brighten your skin tone, the milk hydrates and brightens your skin too and the lemon juice gets rid of dead skin

Idk, I guess it depends on the person because I know that olive oil tends to break me out. If your looking for a natural lightener you could try fresh lemon. If your looking for a softener you could try fresh egg whites or fresh honey
