2nd 1.5 miles in 12mins. (started running and timing after 3 mins)
22mins for 3 miles, with delay its 25mins.
I'm preparing myself for the marines IST, I still of course, have to get my 15 college credits but I figure starting early would help.
Get use to doing more then necessary. Go further distances. When you're use to going 6 miles, then 3 is halfway. Then when the pressure is on, all you need to do is 3... it's nothing. =D The more distance training you do, the higher your pain threshold gets, the more fit specific muscle groups get, the better your lungs, the better your preserve water, etc. I always increase distance before increasing pace.
Depending on your age your time could be considered okay, but if you want to be a marine, you're going to have to be faster. Those times are fine in the Navy, but you're going to need to do better because you're going to be an officer, and they set the example.
Actually enlisted.
You want to kick down doors? Anyway, the times are not bad. How many pull ups can you do?
15-20 ,back when I was actively doing them, I could do 25.
Crunches I'm not worried about.
i'd say your pace is very good. I'm not sure what the standards are for the marines but I think for the army its like 1mile in 9minutes or something which is paced approximately at about 6.5miles an hour and you have to run 2miles in 18minutes. I can only do 5.5miles an hour MAX myself so good luck on that :o)
marines for 100points(perfect score) is 18mins for 3 mile run.
holy crap! I didn't know you had to do 6min an mile. my mistake :o) but seriously good luck on that because then I guess your pace would have to be like 10miles an hour. wow no wonder they're so damn good looking :o)
Lmao! Yeah, 20 pull ups-perfect score, 100 crunches-perfect score. (crunches are timed-must be completed in 2 mins)
oh OK well now I'm feeling even worse about myself. thanks :o) may as well just throw out the asics and pick up eating as a new sport lol I'm just kidding but seriously that's amazing. I wonder what else they expect you to complete in like two minutes :o)
lol.. "i wonder what else they expect you to complete in like two minutes"-I can see right through your fake innocence and dirty thinking XD
haha you caught me. I guess there's no trying to pull a fast one on a marine... "in like two minutes" :oP that is too funnee
