Does it sound like I'm headed in the right direction with getting back in shape?

Hey. So lately I've been wanting to get back in shape. I started this week. Twice, I followed this video: link and then did sit ups(30), push ups(10), jumping jacks, arm and leg stretches. So I did a half hour a day twice this week.

In the video, I get tired at running man and actually find myself having to stop. I don't know if this tells you how out of shape I am. :P I also checked out core strength videos and may give them a shot. I was thinking I'd continue that 8 min work out and extra stuff afterward until I'm able to do it without needing to stop/not so out of breath.

I'd like some ideas on what would be good for upper body strength, improving endurance and flexibility, or general things that work good for the body. At home. Or outside, would be prefered. I don't really have exercise equipment.

I used to play soccer and was active when I was younger. I'd like to gain that back. I'm still thin and it may not seem like I lost it, but I have. So, It's appreciated. :)
