What are the best weight loss pills?

I am currently 190lbs and I'm trying to get down to at least 160 and work my way down from there. I would like to use weight loss pills but have no idea how they work or the side affects. Has anyone of any age used weight pills? Did they work for you? What brand were they?

please my dear, do not use weightloss pills. The way to lose weight and keep it off, is to change the way you eat and to exercise. don't try to slim down so quickly. disregard the psycologically deranged on GAG who are obsessed with being slim. Life is so much more than that. You want to focus on being the best you that you can be. And that starts with eating healthy foods and exercise. Start out slow. Change your diet one step at a time. The real trick with losing weight is getting will power. That makes all of the difference. So start practising controlling how much you eat. buy 3 cookies, and purposefully decide to only eat one. Then try eating only half one day. things like that to build up your will power. Go for a walk every day. decide which program you will give up to take a walk or jump rope. also, be sure you talk with your parents first and have them consult a physician before you begin any exercise.

If you are at least 30 lbs overweight, you can go to a doctor and get Phentermine prescribed. I'm a personal trainer with a medical background. Keep in mind that there is no magic pill. The great thing about this pill is that, it completely takes your appetite away so you are able to stick to a healthy diet. Dont' forget the importance of working out though! Phentermine does have some side effects ...just like any other drug. You may experience sleeplessness and feel jittery the first couple of weeks till your body adjusts to it. It's great though and I recommend it.

First of all, I respect your background and the knowledge that you have acquired on this subject. I cannot respect you at all for recommending a prescription appetite suppressant to a minor. That's pretty irresponsible, imo. We don't know anything about her build type, level of activity, eating habits, or anything else other than the fact that she wants to lose weight. Why wouldn't your professional opinion be to try to do it the old fashioned way and only use pills as a last resort?

Actually, you are a 100% right. I did not realize she is a minor. Even so, I suggested her to go to a doctor. This is not something you can get off the streets or at GNC. The best way to get started on her journey to lose weight is to diet and exercise and/or see a nutritionist. I don't recommend you to take Phentermine unless you have tried all other avenues and consulted with your doctor. Your doctor and only your doctor can decided whether any medicine is right for you.

I don't believe that any of them are good, in any way. Just diet and exercise. Drink water constantly, especially if you're a fan of soda. I have a mild soda addiction, and I went two weeks drinking only water and gatorade earlier this summer and my winter belly melted right off. I didn't even need to adjust my eating habits. Plus a belly full of water has less room in it for junk food. If you can do some light to moderate weight training too, that will help a ton, just because your body will use the nutrients in food to build muscle rather than add to fat stores. I personally think that kettle bell weights are the greatest things ever. You can get one for about 30-50 bucks depending on the weight and it can give you a complete full body workout for strength and aerobics. Just do a little research on them for the proper techniques and what-not.

a.) If you're trying to lose weight without eating right and exercising, just cut your leg off. You'll lose 20 lbs easy.

b.) if you ARE eating right and exercising, try Thermbuterol from GNC. it should give you the extra assistance you need in burning fat.
