smaller ones (like 4 inches in diameter or so) come in stacks. larger ones, like 8 inches or more in diameter) come in quantities or 2 or 3. most people just cover them in maple syrup and butter, but it is not uncommon to see people using fruit toppings instead, such as mashed berries. some people even bake fruit into them, or bake chocolate chips into them. for a healthy alternative some people use a whole grain batter and mix protein shake mix in with it.

Nope. O don't even really like pancakes that much. I rarely eat them. Growing up I would say pancakes for breakfast only happened on a weekend breakfast, and pancakes were served maybe once ever 2 months. They were not restaurant sized pancakes. They were more like this size and I'd eat maybe 3 of them.

I almost never eat them because they make me sleepy. But I do like whole wheat or especially buckwheat pancakes and I usually only have one big one or 1-2 small ones with some butter and maple syrup or some jam, and I'll probably have an egg with it :)
Haha why not everyone? Everyone associates apple pie with the American dream... I personally love to put eather peanut butter or applesauce on my pancakes. I know it sounds so weird but it is so yummy!

Maple syrup.
Thy can be different sizes. Smaller ones are likely in more of a stack. Since the ingredients are cheap people are generous with pancakes.
Real maple syrup is not as cheap so most restaurants give maple flavored syrup.Like others have said,they come in various sizes and the topping varies from person to person. Some like maple syrup,while others like them with strawberries and whipped cream,blueberries,etc.
Me,I like stawberries and cream:)Very rarely. Usually it's not even for breakfast. I eat them with a little butter and maple syrup. I don't eat that many because it tastes good at first, but it gets to a point where it doesn't anymore if that makes sense at all.

I usually have an omelet for breakfast.I know pancakes are mostly consumed for the morning breakfast, but I like to have mine at night as a late night snack hehehe.
