Which do you think is the "better choice"?
Sugar substitutes or high fructose corn syrup; which is the least evil?

I personally think substitutes are better. They only have side effects in huge doses, and you only have to use a tiny bit. Plus, there are natural ones like stevia that aren't bad for you. Some people are allergic to Splenda, but I don't think most are.
Whereas HFCS has been making everyone fat, sick, and addicted to it for years.
From what I've read, sugar substitutes are better. Still, you should try to limit your intake of simple carbs and eat more complex carbs and healthy fats/proteins. Balance is key. A lot of the problem is that many people eat literally nothing but carbs and fat all day, hence the health problems and obesity.

Sugar substitutes. Lower in calories and it gets digested as a protein/amino acid as opposed to just plain sugar.
Lastly, with HFCs being in EVERYTHING it is so much easier to over-consume added sugar. HFCs absolutely contribute to Obesity.
The corn syrup, my moms side is diabetic, therefore I try to eat as healthy as possible because I don't want to be over weight and gain all these medical problems so I use sugar substitutes.. as well as do a lot of people I know (:
People who have diabetes should stay away from HFC syrup because it'll make their condition worse. That said, sugar is the better substitute.
Corn syrup is worse then fake sugar it clogs your arteries.
Crap! Everything we like to eat is evil! lol
