would you do it?
do you do it?
either way why ?
Well I used to be really thin back in High School and I did this stuff. It wasn't so bad but I got frowned on by other people because I looked more like a guy then a girl because I was semi-toned. Guys tend to like the fragile, innocent looking girls. Our role as a female and life to be honest is to birth babies and the male is there to protect. The male should be more "buff" then the female but there is nothing wrong with being slim and in shape. :)
I do strength training but I have no interest in power lifting. I think overly buff women are kind of manly and that is not an appearance that I want for myself. I just like to look toned.

I think it's a vital part of a balanced workout. I do weightlifting and cardio so that it balances it out.
do you lift heavy weight or light?
For now light but I want to gradually move into the heavy weights.
do you have a goal in mind?
Yes, I want to be strong enough to be able to pick up stuff at my job with ease. I work for a landscape company so I need to build up my strength so that I can match up to the male workers. Or at least keep up.
I used to do powerlifting but my thighs got huge. So I quit. I still like to do weights though, it keeps muscle definition in my legs and arms without them looking scrawny or huge.
I've lost about 80 pounds, and I think it's definitely important to do some strength training. Especially if you're losing a lot of weight like I did, because it keeps you from looking flabby after losing the weight. Even if you're not losing weight, it's still a good way to tone up your body and get a bit healthier.
For girls though, it's better to do a lot of reps with light weights or just work against your own body weight so you look nice and toned instead of bulky like a man.
I personally, love it due to the fact that I train horses as well as kick box...But I can also say; it's definitely not for everybody...alot of waking up feeling like your twice your age, not a good feeling sometimes...lol...
You mean from soreness?
